Neil Warnock insists he has no problem with Graham Poll as he prepares to go face-to-face with him again.
The Sheffield United manager returns to the touchline for the first time this season at Fulham on Saturday after picking up a two-match ban for being sent off by Poll last season.
Warnock was sent to the stands by Poll during last season's clash with Leeds and the pair will meet again at Craven Cottage as Poll takes charge of United's game with Fulham.
Poll and Warnock have not always seen eye to eye with the Blades boss upset with the Tring official's handling of the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal three years ago.
Warnock has played down the appointment of Poll for the Fulham game and insists there is no feud with the referee.
"I don't have a problem with Graham Poll because he already knows what my feelings are on certain issues," said Warnock.
"It wasn't his fault I got banned the last time. It was down to the fourth official.
"I don't make a habit of ringing him up or anything like that but I think he's a good referee - and there is a shortage of those."
Warnock is also hoping that some luck might run his side's way at Fulham after feeling they were hard done by some refereeing decisions in the opening two games against Liverpool and Tottenham.
"We have had two disappointing penalty decisions in two games," added Warnock.
"I hope it is not the start of a trend but they say these things even themselves out over the course of the season. I just hope it is true."
